A Passion for Passion Fruit: 5 Tart, Sweet Recipes
Passion fruit is a luscious, round vine fruit which is said to have originated in the tropical forests of Brazil. Traditionally, it is harvested around late summer. And you can tell if the fruit is ripe because the rind will start to wrinkle and turn a yellow or purple color. Once the skin is broken, the center reveals a juicy, orange-colored pulp that can be enjoyed on its own or used to make drinks and desserts. Fortunately for us, we don’t have to pick passion fruit from vines, we can grab packaged purees from our grocer’s freezer.
For a sweet taste of the tropics, try one of these delectable recipes made with this tasty tropical fruit.

WHERE can I find passion fruit puree?
Hi Pam. Please try Walmart or Publix or your nearest ethnic market, in the section near frozen strawberries or any other pureed fruit product. In major metro areas like NY, South Florida and Atlanta it should be fairly simple to find. If you’re in the mid west, might be more of a challenge 🙂
