A very simple libation known to the English-speaking Caribbean as “Rum and Coke”, this drink is differentiated by the squeeze of lime juice added.
The Cuba Libre is a strong rum based cocktail credited to Havana, Cuba with a name that literally translates to “Free Cuba”. In most other countries, the drink is commonly referred to as a Rum and Coke. A Cuba Libre cocktail is usually served in a highball glass filled with ice and garnished with a lime wedge.

- 2 oz light / white rum
- 4 oz coca-cola
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Pour lime juice, rum and coke into a highball glass over ice cubes, stir, and serve. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
