I recently discovered “Taste The Islands” with Chef Erie on my Denver, CO PBS CREATE channel 6-3. I love this type of cuisine and I am so glad someone has finally done this! Unfortunately, I have missed many episodes and would like to ‘catch-up’.
How/where do I find previously recorded episodes of “Taste The Islands”, so I can watch them on my computer? I have found the episode number listings, but no web-links to them. Please help. Thank you. Jerry
Hi Jerry,
Glad you like what you’re seeing! Unfortunately we haven’t situated ourselves for online viewing yet but are working on it. In the meantime, if you visit http://www.createtv.com, you can find where it’s broadcasting on your local Create TV affiliate and watch twice a week, Mondays and Fridays. If and when we do make online viewing available, we’ll make an announcement through the site and weekly newsletter. Please keep enjoying, and tell friends to watch! 🙂
Found Chef Ire on Create tv and was extremely happy. love island food and showing diversity. i hope it will be around for a few seasons!!!
Thanks so much Roberda! We’re working on prepping season 2 right now. So glad you’re enjoying the show and our wonderful island cuisine. Please try to visit our islands, especially Jamaica, to try the food the way the natives make it. You won’t be disappointed! 🙂
I watched Chef Irie today for the first time , I went online and got today’s recipe. It calls for 2tablespoons of browning. I can’t seem to find how to make it. Can you help?
Hi Theres! Thanks for watching. Browning is actually a molasses based ingredient you purchase in a bottle. If you live near a supermarket with an ethnic (latin or Caribbean) section you may be able to find it. If not, try Amazon – http://amzn.to/246qBcX. It’s great for stews, sauces and fruitcakes as well!
