Caribbean Rum Punch

Rum Punch is a favorite drink during the festive season in Jamaica and other parts of the Caribbean. The basic recipe is as simple as counting 1,2,3.


Serves 8

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup lemon or lime juice
  • 2 cups syrup (strawberry flavored or any other simple red color syrup)
  • 3 cups white over proof rum
  • 4 cups of fruit juice ( 2 cups pineapple juice and 2 cups orange juice)
  • Slices of lime and or slices of pineapple for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large punch bowl
  2. Garnish with slices of lime and/or pineapple
  3. Place in refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours
  4. Serve cold over ice
